Print faster on the dsm

I just cross compile and test the p910nd daemon ... it works quite fine
With this daemon the dsm acts as an HP directjet box
i put the file in attachement since i lost my password for upload

th fun_plug script to launch the server is:

Code:

#!/bin/sh
mkdir /dev/usb
cd /dev/usb && /mnt/HD_a2/busybox makedevs lp c 180 0 0 1
chmod a+rw /dev/usb/lp0 /dev/null
insmod /mnt/HD_a2/printer.o
mkdir /var/lock/subsys
/mnt/HD_a2/local/sbin/p910nd -f /dev/usb/lp0 -b 0

Re: Print faster on the dsm

Will this allow me to use my CH3WNAS as a printer server for my HP LaserJet P1005? I tried to find out but could not find a clear answer.

Re: Print faster on the dsm

Yes it would but with my canon i have some problems to get the printer status ... i think that the bidirectional transfer is not optimal.

Re: Print faster on the dsm

Works like a charm. I had to figure out how to upload the firmware to my printer on each power-on (thank you HP for this 'feature'). Bi-directional is not working, but that is not a big problem for me. Thanks!
